The first day cover is a unique postal article that can be given as a special gift to someone or for a stamp collectors item. On the left side of the envelope is a picture of the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach on the background of 770. Next to it is the verse from Yeshayahu: "The spirit of the L-ord shall alight upon him, a spirit of wisdom and insight, a spirit of counsel and valor, a spirit of devotion and reverence for the L-rd".

On the right side of the cover is the special stamp, stamped with the date of issue.

As is the custom, the Philatelic service makes a special seal with which envelopes used on the first day are stamped. In an outstanding gesture of honour, the Philatelic service decided to include the Rebbe Melech HaMoshiach`s signature in the seal. This is a gesture that was shown only to a small number of elite persons.

A royal crown is printed above the signature. Underneath the signature, the word Chabad is written in Hebrew and English. Surrounding this appears the date of issue in three languages including the place of issue, Kfar Chabad.
